Interior Painting Checklist for NH Homes
Prep checklist for whole-home and multi-room interior painting projects in New Hampshire.
A strong interior paint job starts before the first coat. This checklist is for Southern New Hampshire homeowners planning one room or a whole house.
Clear the rooms
Take down wall art, switch plates, and small furniture you can move. Leave large pieces that need to stay; we will protect them. Access to walls and trim is the difference between a clean job and painting around clutter.
Walk repairs during the estimate
Nail holes, cracks, dents, and old patches should be on the scope before primer. If wallpaper is still up, plan removal first. If the drywall is damaged, plan repair first. Paint outlines an uneven wall. It does not hide it.
Decide sheen by room
Kitchens and baths take more cleaning and steam. Halls take more hand traffic. Ceilings usually want a flatter look. Trim looks better in a sheen you can wipe. Complimentary color consultations happen at the house so you can see swatches in your light. Details live on our interior painting page.
Plan access and pets
Tell us how you use the house during the day. Interiors can usually run year-round in New Hampshire. We work room by room so you keep a path through the house. Mention pets and kids so protection and sequencing are realistic.
Small and large interior projects are both welcome. Request a free estimate 7 days a week, 8 AM–7 PM.
